Generation costs us compute the moment you run it, so this policy is specific about what is refundable and what is not.
The principle
Every image you generate costs real compute at the moment you run it. That shapes this policy: we refund when the service failed you, not when you changed your mind about images you already have.
What we refund
- Failed generations. If a request errors, it is not billed. If it was billed anyway, we credit it back automatically.
- Service outage. If the platform is unavailable for a meaningful part of your billing period, we credit that period pro rata.
- Duplicate or accidental charges. Refunded in full, no questions.
- First paid period, unused. If you upgrade, generate nothing, and ask within 14 days, we refund it in full.
- Cancellation by us without cause. We refund the unused portion of your period.
What we do not refund
- Images you generated and were not happy with. The compute was spent, and taste is not a defect.
- Unused allowance at the end of a period — it does not roll over and is not refundable.
- Periods already elapsed when you cancel mid-term.
- Accounts ended for breaching the acceptable use policy.
If a generation is genuinely broken rather than merely disappointing — a corrupt file, the wrong resolution, a result that ignored your settings — that is a service failure and we will credit it. Tell us the seed.
How to ask
Email hello@paintune.com with the charge date and, if it relates to specific generations, the seeds. We aim to respond within two working days and to process approved refunds within five. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
Cancelling
Cancel from your account page at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep access until then. There is no cancellation call and no retention script.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under consumer law where you live. Where local law gives you a stronger right than this policy, the law wins.
